22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome may be as common as Down Syndrome, yet very few people are aware of this genetic syndrome. 22qDS can cause learning differences, developmental delays, heart defects, poor immune system, palate abnormalities, and low levels of calcium in the blood. Every aspect of 22q is treatable, and early diagnosis and treatment of each symptom can improve general outcomes.This video shares the stories of several families affected by 22q to bring awareness to the syndrome.

2026 Jayce 22q Fiesta Medal
My name is Pete Reyna, and alongside my wife Rosa, we’ve been organizing an annual 2.2-mile walk/run for 22q in honor of our little guy, Jayce and the 22q Community.As we head into Year 4 of this incredible journey, what started as a simple idea to support our son has grown into something much bigger...a movement of awareness, connection, and community.And in 2026, it became even more special.Today, we’re honored to introduce the Jayce 22q 2026 Fiesta Medal...representing 22q Texas and the entire 22q community.1 in every 1,500–2,000 babies is born with 22q. Nearly 190 medical conditions can be associated with it. 70% of babies are born with heart conditions. In Jayce’s case, we’ve been incredibly blessed that he hasn’t faced those heart complications...and we don’t take that blessing lightly.The proceeds from this medal will benefit 22q Camp...a place where children and families living with 22q build real connection, real understanding, and real community. It’s a space where no one has to explain their journey… because everyone gets it. Where families learn from one another, where kids feel seen, where siblings feel included, where hope grows stronger.This is bigger than a medal.
